World bosses and the Nemesis Tyrant

Daily world boss times and loot, the Nemesis Tyrant in the Bloodshed Sea, and how boss fights work on Nox.

Daily world bosses

Two world bosses appear every day: SuanNi, the golden lion-dragon, and FengMeng, the Fallen Marksman. The whole server gets a warning 5 minutes and 1 minute before each one.

Only one copy of each boss can be up at a time. A spawn missed by up to 2 minutes (for example after a restart) still happens.

You will see these messages:

  • "World boss *X* will appear at *map* (*x*, *y*) in *N* minute(s)!"
  • "World boss *X* has appeared at *map* (*x*, *y*)! Heroes, to arms!"
  • "World boss *X* has been slain at *map* (*x*, *y*)! The final blow: *player*!"
  • "World boss *X* grew tired of waiting and left *map* (*x*, *y*)."

World boss rewards

The player who lands the killing blow gets one item, picked by chance from the tables below, plus Study Points. Every player who dealt at least 1% of the total damage also gets experience equal to 0.5% of their current level. World bosses never give Epic Fragments.

How boss fights work

MechanicHow it works
Damage as a share of your HPA boss hit takes at least a share of your max HP: 15% for endgame and world bosses, 10% for lower-level and event bosses. The share shrinks as your Battle Power rises above the boss's wall.
Battle Power wallBelow the wall you deal less damage: about 60% when 1–4 BP below, 35% when 5–9 below, 15% when 10 or more below
TerritoryA boss ignores players more than 40 cells from where it appeared and flies home if pulled further. You can't drag it to town.
Hunting the weakEvery 12 s a boss looks for the weakest nearby player and hunts them for 6 s
Soft enrageAfter 5 minutes of fighting, any boss speeds up to 150%
Flying dragonsWinged bosses leap into the air and glide after you in 9-cell hops. While airborne their skills hit a wider circle (at least 9 cells) and breath cones recharge twice as fast. They land 2.5 s after the last leap.
Fire flightAt most once every 1.5 s, a dragon's leap rains fire on its path. Anyone within 1 cell of the path or 2 cells of the landing takes 80% of its attack (never lethal) and starts burning.
Dragon BurnEvery hit from a fire dragon burns you for 3 ticks, 1 s apart, 1.5% of your max HP each. Burns refresh, they don't stack.
Crowd scalingPast 4 attackers, each extra player makes every hit count a bit less: 100 ÷ (100 + 12 × extra players)%. Ten players deal about 5.8× what one does.

Live damage ranking

During any boss fight, every player on the boss's map sees a live board, updated once a second. It shows the top 10 damage dealers plus your own rank, and a health frame with the boss name, exact HP (to 0.01%) and its state (Enraged, Sealed, Ascended). Pets and traps count for their owner. A final board appears when the boss falls.

Tips

  • SuanNi at Twin City (514,746) is a short walk from town. Be there at the 5-minute warning.
  • Check the boss's Battle Power wall. More than 20 BP above it means each hit takes only 30% of its usual share.
  • Deal at least 1% of the damage to earn the participation experience.
  • Fire circles and warned rings land after a short delay. Walk out; random jumping won't save you.
  • For the Tyrant, keep a Bloodshed Scroll ready before :15 and :45.
